FIN-ally summer is on the way! We are so excited to announce that we spotted a cow-calf pair of FIN Whales on both trips today!!! Early on in the morning, we joined a feeding frenzy of Common Dolphins, Sea Lions and birds..in total, we were surrounded by a pod of nearly 250 adult AND juvenile Commons! After we left the dolphins behind, we made it over 10 miles offshore and found a Fin Whale cow-calf pair! We crossed our fingers, hoping for a second chance along with some more time to spend with this pair and…

We found them!!! It is quite possible that we relocated the same cow-calf pair of Fin Whales from the morning trip around 7.5 miles from shore this afternoon. They surfaced multiple times in close range and we were able to spot the mother and the calf come up to breathe individually! It is not everyday that mother nature delivers after we cross our fingers! This pair was the cherry on top of a great trip, which we initially spent with a few hundred Common Dolphins. We have plenty of seats available for our single trip tomorrow and both trips on Tuesday..the sun is shining and the sea is smooth. It’s your turn to enjoy the amazing wildlife of San Diego! Hope to see you out there.
