Love was in the water today and it was easy to see with the gorgeous conditions we had! The surface of the water was smooth and glassy, perfect for sub-surface dolphin watching AND Minke Whale spotting! We encountered two large pods of Common Dolphins. The first was filled with young calves while the second included countless mating pairs. Both groups were very vocal, emitting loud, high-frequency whistles that could be heard all around the boat. The glassiness of the water made it easy to watch the dolphins bow-ride and swim beside us at great depths below the surface!
As soon as we split off from the second pod of Common Dolphins, we spotted a Minke Whale! We were lucky enough to get a few great looks at the Minke before running out of time. We expect the great conditions of today to carry into our trip tomorrow. See you out there!
