WOW!!! That’s about the only way one could describe today’s cruises. Terrific blue whales–three in the morning and four in the afternoon, two schools of mola mola’s in the morning, and a larger mola mola in the afternoon; a pod of 50 common dolphins on the morning cruise; and the highlight of our day–a hammerhead shark–granted not a marine mammal–but a very rare sighting of this endangered fish….unfortunately the glare of the water made it a little hard to distinguish in the photo–it was probably 9′ long–and stayed near the surface so all could get a good look. You can also see Captain Cristin fishing a “mylar fish”–i.e., mylar balloon out of the water–this is one sighting we never like to see!
