The seas were calm and the sun was out today. Captain Eric set his course for La Jolla canyon on both trips today. It’s a deep water area about 6 miles offshore from La Jolla Village known for it’s baleen whales.

Between the two trips today we had quite a lot of diversity in marine life! Guests saw over 300 common dolphins in the morning, as well as about 6 mola molas (ocean sunfish). In the afternoon, a fin whale decided to come say hello as it came up very close to the boat!
We had sea lions and various sea birds on both trips…an amazing day at sea!
