Sunday, March 1st

Our adventurous guests on both trips braved the stormy seas, and it payed off! We had great, up close views of gray whales and humpback whales on both trips. The first trip encountered a breaching humpback, followed by a breaching gray on the second trip!

Instagram post 2178825241438740111_298070858 San Diego’s favorite whale was back in town today! Our friends over at @gonewhalewatching tracked down this famous Humpback Whale “Twitch” nearly 16 miles from Mission Bay and alerted us to its location! It was a long run, but it paid off spectacularly with some fantastic close looks at the friendly Humpback...all the while surrounded by a megapod of Common Dolphins numbering over 1,000 strong!
