Today we experienced something strange for San Diego – a thunderstorm! Fortunately before the storm rolled in, we were able to see quite a lot of wildlife on both of our trips today.

In the morning we spotted 500 common dolphins and one large adult blue whale moving quickly to the west.

In the afternoon we snuck in at least 1,000 common dolphins before the weather took a turn and forced us to head in. The good news is, as our pictures show, dolphins don’t care about a few rain showers and they were more than accomodating when it comes to photographs!

Every day is a new adventure on the Privateer. Come be a part of it!
