We had a fairly successful morning trip today with a lively pod of about 400 common dolphins with dozens of sea lions mixed in, two hammerhead sharks, and another rare Sabine’s gull.

There’s no way to sugarcoat it – in the afternoon we got skunked. Fortunately the weather was lovely with calm seas and sunny skies, so most passengers were happy to just be out on the water for the afternoon, and of course because we didn’t see any whales or dolphins, everyone on the second trip received a free re-ride in the future on us.

The ocean is ever-changing, so just because we didn’t spot much today doesn’t mean tomorrow will yield the same. I’m eager to see what the ocean has in store. See you then!
