What a difference a day makes! On the morning cruise we observed 20 common dolphins and one juvenile humpback whale. Upon exiting Mission Bay Channel on the afternoon cruise we observed two gray whales in very shallow water–a very pregnant female and a juvenile. Everyone on board was thrilled to see them. After everyone got great looks at these whales, we headed north, and it wasn’t long before we encountered a very large, pregnant gray whale. Ocean conditions were perfect….great to see the dolphins in the morning, the humpback, and a special treat to see THREE southbound Eastern Pacific Gray Whales in the afternoon. The Eclipse is being hauled out for Coast Guard inspection tomorrow, but should be back online December 7. The Privateer should be back in service with new engines on December 14. Start thinking about when YOU want to come out now. We’re expecting terrific sightings when we’re back on the water. Hope you’ll join us!!
