There were so many Common dolphins to be found on both of our trips today! As soon as we got out to deeper water we encountered several interactive pods of Common dolphin. During the morning trip, we found a nice large pod of ~500 individuals that were traveling fast toward the NW. There were many cow/calf pairs that porpoised next to the Privateer. There were a few adults that were breaching at the front of the pod that were making big splashes! Two Mola mola’s (Ocean sunfish) were seen along our course that were laying flat on the ocean surface before diving down below. The afternoon cruise was just as grand! We witnessed some energetic Common dolphins that came close to the boat. There were many cow/calf pairs seen as well.

It was a little quiet in the Baleen whale department but we are going to try again tomorrow! Hope to see you there!
