It was great having Paloma Valley High School on board with us this morning! Despite some unfavorable conditions, we kept our hopes high and cruised into the swell on the lookout for some wildlife. Luckily for us, it didn’t take too much time before we spotted a feeding frenzy of sea birds and Common Dolphins! Although the dolphins were fully occupied by their prey, we were able to get some great looks at them as they foraged and exhibited strong maneuverability while doing so. The wind picked up and the swell become more and more significant as the trip went on. Unfortunately, these factors greatly impact our ability to spot whales and dolphins. Fortunately, the sun began to shine on our way in for a warm, smooth ride in.
We hear that we’ll be treated to some awesome conditions this weekend. Warm, sunny days with less wind and a calm Pacific. See you on the boat, whale watchers!
