One enormous Blue Whale gave us the view of a lifetime when it paralleled our boat and raised it’s tail this morning! We were all thrilled to see the largest animal on the planet roll forward, slowly exposing the shocking length of it’s back and a gorgeous set of tail flukes! Preceding and following our exciting Blue Whale encounter were scattered pods of Common Dolphins that took some time for a little people watching. We found another few groups of Common Dolphins this afternoon, following a quiet trip out to nearly 12 miles offshore! Although it was too long winded to stick around and observe it, we spotted one mystery whale this afternoon that appeared to be the second Blue Whale of the day.
