Another beautiful day off the coast of San Diego! On the morning trip, we came across a pod of ~200 Common dolphins. They were extremely active and bow riding our vessel. Shortly after, we got a report of a Minke whale further out west! We went to investigate and had some pretty cool sightings of the Minke.

In the afternoon, we got a report of two Blue whales traveling by the border of Mexico. We decided to beeline to the coordinates and see if we could locate the whales. Instead of the whales, we discovered a HUGE pod (~500) of acrobatic, Common dolphins! They were leaping high into the sky, bow riding and observing our guests as they swam on their sides next to the vessel. Another fantastic day of whale watching!
