The storm of yesterday passed overnight and we were treated to BEAUTIFUL, ideal conditions this morning. A pod of ~50-60 Short-Beaked Common Dolphins were spotted in a mellow, graceful state to the south of Point Loma. We were nearly TEN miles from shore when we found them! The pod contained dozens of tiny babies and dolphins of all life-stages were ready to surf at the bow! We later found a small handful of up to 10 Long-Beaked Common Dolphins and slowed down to observed two Inshore Bottlenose Dolphins inside the Mission Bay channel on our way home! It sounds like the nice conditions should be continuing through the week, so make sure to join us while it lasts!
