We’re thrilled to say that the storm offshore has passed and TWO different species of toothed whale were spotted this morning! An exuberantly acrobatic pod of ~60 Short-Beaked Common Dolphins made for a special encounter until we found out that a pod of ~20 Risso’s Dolphins was also nearby! We high-tailed it over to the less common species and were treated to some beautiful looks at one of our favorite treats off San Diego! It was absolutely gorgeous on the water today and we’re hoping that these conditions will carry into the entire weekend. See you on the water tomorrow, whale watchers!
