We just had a pretty incredible sunset trip with two humpback whales and a megapod of around 1,000 common dolphins! We made our way about 9 miles northwest of mission bay chasing the sun before we came across some of our favorite cetaceans. The southbound humpbacks were making a feeding stop here in San Diego on their way down to Mexico for breeding season. They seemed to be following the food along with a huge stretching pod of common dolphins who were very boat friendly, riding our bow and our wake. It was one of those awesome trips you always hope for!
