BREACHING. WHALE. ALERT. Undeterred by rough seas and rain, we made our way out today and were rewarded with 5 Gray whales. Initially encountering 2 stealthy whales just North of mission, our captain spotted a trio to the south. After several breathing cycles, each one of the whales proceeded to breach in what might be interpreted as a competition.
