IMG 1480 | San Diego Whale Watch 1 IMG 1691 | San Diego Whale Watch 3 IMG 1897 | San Diego Whale Watch 5We had two amazing trips full of wildlife! During the afternoon trip we encountered ~25 Offshore Bottlenose dolphins that came straight to the boat to bowride. We head out to the west and sighted a pair of Fin whales! They were seen circling in one spot likely feeding. We also came across ~50 Long-beaked Common dolphins that were headed south. We sighted a Mola mola, a moon jelly, and a ctenophore too! On the Sunset trip, we set out to the west and found a handful of Offshore bottlenose dolphins that came to hang out for a while. We found the same Fin whale pair and got some amazing looks as they seemed to pop all around us. We even found some whale poop! And it looks like they were feeding on krill out there! More Common dolphins were sighted as well as ~5 Inshore bottlenose dolphins at the mouth of the Mission Bay jetties!
