We had a great day with several sightings of dolphins today! During the morning trip, we found a pod of ~60 Short-beaked Commons and ~100 Long-beaked Common dolphins! Some were seen feeding under diving birds, others were in travel mode. As we cruised by, many individual diverted and hung out with us for awhile, bow-riding and surfing the wake. During the afternoon trip, at the mouth of the Mission Bay channel, we found 3-4 Inshore Bottlenose dolphins that were pretty peppy! We zoomed out to the west and found a pod of ~30 Offshore bottlenose dolphins, including a cow/calf pair! On the way in, we found a couple pods of Short-beaked and Long-beaked Common dolphins. They were all in travel mode, but were very active as they breached and porpoised out of the water!

Hope you’ll join us soon for a great time on the water!
