Absolutely incredible day spent with ~100 Short-beaked Common dolphins, and 8 Blue whales, including a cow/calf pair! The dolphins were cruising to the north off the drop-off and took time to hang out with us. We continued on and found ourselves ~12 miles from Mission Bay, the Blue Whale Zone! We had non-stop looks at multiple Blue whales that mugged us! The cow/calf pair traveled straight over to us as it sunk down below us. The grand finale was when we got to see the amazing tail lifted out of the water as one of the largest whales went down for a deep dive!
