Fun times on the Privateer! During the morning trip, we enjoyed hanging out with ~30 Long-beaked Common dolphins near shore! Then out near the drop-off we encountered ~200 Short-beaked Common dolphins. Both pods included many cow-calf pairs that came over to check us out! During the afternoon trip, we went southwest this time, and encountered a fast-traveling pod of ~30 Long-beaked Common dolphins! As they cruised north, we observed them surfing the bow and our wake! We reached the drop-off and found multiple boils of Bluefin tuna! We made it to 10-miles from shore and found a fun pod of ~50 Offshore Bottenose dolphins. So many calves seen popping up beside us. On our way into the Mission Bay jetties, we encountered ~5 Inshore Bottlenose dolphins!
