We had two great trips today! The conditions this morning were beautiful! We enjoyed glassy waters and great visibility! We found a fun pod of ~100 Long-beaked Common dolphins traveling north. A Minke whale was sighted near them! We continued to the north and encountered another big pod of ~100 Long-beaked common dolphins extremely spread out near diving birds. Another Minke whale was sighted and popped up all around us! During the afternoon, we set out to the southwest and sighted a fun pod of ~150 short-beaked Common dolphins traveling north. Continuing SW, we found FOUR baleen whales! One Bryde’s whale, one mystery whale with a big puffy spout, and a pair of Minke whales! There were tuna boils nearby as well as thousands of diving birds! So sad to see it, but the Bryde’s whale had propeller marks lining its back. The Minke’s synchronized their breaths and actually exhibited spouts!

We will be offline tomorrow due to some big swell coming in, but hope to see you again next day we go out!
