#SundayFunday aboard the Privateer! During the morning trip, we went south and found a a trio of Humpback whales migrating south! There was a pair traveling together and a single separated by only 100 yards. We loved watching them come up for breaths and seeing their big tails being lifted as they went down for a deep dive. During the afternoon, we set out to the drop-off and encountered a pod of ~30 Long-beaked Common dolphins traveling south. We hung out with them as they popped up all around us. We cruised north and made it to 12-miles from shore. We began to turn in and were happily surprised to see a pod of ~20 Risso’s dolphins! It was a nursery pod as there were at least 5 cow/calf pairs! Many calves still had fetal folds, and were very playful sticking close to mom.
