We had a bittersweet encounter with a humpback whale on both our morning and afternoon trips today as its tail fluke was entangled in fishing gear. Both NOAA and Seaworld Rescue had been notified and hopefully it can be disentangled. This afternoon we watched it breach over and over again, perhaps trying to free itself… Besides the humpback whale we also encountered a megapod of long-beaked common dolphins on both trips!
