We had a whale of a day! Non-stop Gray whales are cruising south past San Diego! Today, we encountered FOUR Gray whales (two singles, and a pair) during the afternoon trip. The single Gray whales were in travel mode while the pair breached! We only found them because they launched out of the water twice. We spotted around 20 Long-beaked Common dolphins that came up to the boat to bow-ride and surf in our wake. During the Sunset trip, we found a pair of southbound Gray whales that were in travel mode at first. Then a handful of Pacific white-sided dolphins showed up to the party and things got interesting! We watched as the Gray’s barrel-rolled and socialized with the Pacific white-sided dolphins. We caught one of the whales kind of doing a spyhop and another whale breached.

We hope you can join us soon!
