We enjoyed great views and nice seas. We set out and found multiple pods of dolphins! The first pod was only 3-miles from shore and they were seen actively hunting for small schooling fish! Lots of birds were diving right along side them. There were about 200 Long-beaked Common dolphins. We ventured out to the drop-off and sighted some huge splashes to the west. We came across a fun pod of ~100 Short-beaked Common dolphins. They were launching out of the water exhibiting breaching behaviors. There was so many little ones sighted in the mix! The was a nursery pod of about 15 cow/calf pairs! Some calves were still exhibiting their fetal folds! We enjoyed the smooth seas on the way in.
