We were rockin’ and rollin’ out there today! We set out for the morning trip and made it out to 11-miles from Mission Bay! We found an awesome pod of ~30 Offshore Bottlenose dolphins that were cruisin’ out to the west. They were playful and curious with the boat. We encountered 3 cow/calf pairs in the mix. During the afternoon trip, we found a fun pod of ~200 Long-beaked Common dolphins feeding only 2-miles from shore. We continued on and sighted a single Fin whale along the drop-off. It had short dive times of 8-minutes and hung out around us. It gave us the slip so we ventured on to the west. We came across more scattered pods of Common dolphins. On our way in, we sighted another Fin whale that popped up right in front of us! It was a smaller on that mugged the boat! It traveled straight to the bow and crossed right in front of us, only 10-ft away!
It was an incredible day. We hope you join us while the Fin whales are hanging out off of San Diego!

Vanessa
