The sea conditions were nice and visibility was amazing. We set out to the southwest and encountered numerous pods of Long-beaked Common dolphins on both of our trips today. In total, we hung out with 5 different pods totaling ~650 Common dolphins. Many were seen under diving birds, some pods were in travel mode and others were milling around the drop-off. We enjoyed watching their social behaviors which included breaching, porpoising, and tail-slaps. In the beginning of the trip we also had a California Brown Pelican land on the bow of our boat which was pretty cool!
Sea you soon!
