We had a super fun afternoon trip! We set out to the SW and encountered numerous pods of Common dolphins ranging in the hundreds! We found ourselves 13.7 miles from Mission Bay and hung out with the largest animal on the planet! We watched as a single Blue whale circled the area and showed its tail flukes on each sounding dive! A pod of offshore Bottlenose dolphins cruised by as well! Our sunset trip had smooth conditions and amazing visibility. We caught up to a pod of about 300 short beaked common dolphins that gave us quite the show! We saw many shorties launch themselves out of the water and even got to see babies learning to breach!
