Our morning trip found two small pods of 50 long beaked common dolphins about 3 miles from Mission Bay. We continued farther offshore to find a pod of 25 offshore bottlenose that were in the same area as a juvenile humpback whale. Our afternoon trip got looks at a pod of 100 long beaked common dolphin.
