It was a great day to be on the water! We had three great trips with lots of activity! During the morning trip, we set out to smooth seas and foggy conditions. We could only see like a mile from the boat! At the drop-off, we found a Minke whale popping up all around the boat. There were Common dolphins all around! Thousands of birds were seen diving along the drop-off. We even sighted a Brown Booby among the feeding activity. During the afternoon trip, we set out to the drop-off and went north. We sighted California sea lions, mola molas and thousands of birds. We actually caught up with a cow/calf pair of Pacific white-sided dolphins! They were circling our boat! That’s a rare sight to see this time of year. We also caught up with the dolphin action up north outside of La Jolla! There were so many cow/calf pairs in the mix and they were enjoying Privateer! Some were surfing our wake or bow-riding. This evening we had a feeding pod of long-beaked common dolphins and birds and also sighted two Mola molas!
Sea ya on the next one!
