We had a great trip this afternoon! We caught up with a pod of about 150 short beaked common dolphins as we crossed over the drop off. They stuck around us for a while, bow riding and surfing our wake. We made it out about 9 miles when we ran into about 30 Risso’s dolphins! They were super boat friendly and came right up to us. They stuck around and gave us some incredible looks. On our way back in, we ran into another pod of about 150 short beaks. As we approached the jetties, we had a small pod of about 10 inshore bottlenose dolphins give us a personal escort. It was a big dolphin day for us!
