We had two awesome trips today! We enjoyed calm, flat seas with nice visibility. We set out toward the west on the morning tour and encountered a pod of ~100 Long-beaked Common dolphins. They were racing up to the north. We continued on and encountered pod after pod of both short-beaked and long-beaked Common dolphins. On our afternoon tour, we cruised out to the northwest and after reaching the drop-off, we went toward the SW. A huge aggregation of birds were seen on the horizon. We caught up with them and we were pleasantly surprised to find around 400 Long-beaked dolphin socializing. In total, we had 1100 Long-beaks and ~200 Short-beaked Common dolphins. Our sunset trip also got to see a brown booby AND a Nazca booby!
We hope you’ll join us for the next one to catch up with these amazing dolphins!
