A very whale-y day for us here at SDWW! Our afternoon trip caught up with about 500 common dolphins and then found 2 fin whales! We got some really good looks as they cruised south. Our sunset cruise caught up with 2 gray whales not even 3 miles from shore. We stuck with them for several breath cycles and then pushed out to the west. We got to hang out with a small pod of about 150 long beaked common dolphins before heading towards home. We watched as the sun fell behind us and we got to catch a glimpse of the green flash.
