We got a pretty cool Christmas gift out there on our one trip today! We had really nice conditions and it was a warm 73 degrees. We headed west and stumbled across a gray whale less than three miles out of Mission Bay. We stuck around for several breath cycles and we got lucky because it was a short winded gray. This whale loved showing off its tail fluke, lifting it at least 4 times! We continued to the north west where we found a feeding frenzy of sea birds. We stuck around to see if anything else would take interest in the abundant bait in the water. We had a really relaxing cruise back in with the sun shining high in the sky.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us here at SDWW!
