It was a beautiful day out there! We could see down to the Los Cornados Islands and all the way up to San Mateo Pt. We head out to the west and came across a very fun and active pod of ~300 Long-beaked Common dolphins! They were traveling to the NE and zoomed over to hang out with us! We were completely surrounded as they played in the wake and bow-rode the boat. Many cow/calf pairs were sighted beside us. We even saw a rambunctious California sea lion in the mix. We continued on and found another pod of ~50 Long-beaked Common dolphins all racing to the north. Lots of birds were seen and some were even in big feeding frenzies. It was a great day!
