What a great day! Our afternoon trip had some big swells but we pushed through. We made it out 9 miles and came across 1000+ long beaked common dolphins! They were split between two pods so we are guessing they were coming together to create a megapod. We pushed a little further west and came across 2 humpback whales! We got to stick with them for several breath cycles. Our sunset trip set out towards the dolphins. We made it about 6 miles from Mission Bay and came across 3 humpbacks and about 150 long beaked common dolphins. The whales played a game of hide and seek with us for a while but we got to hang around long enough to see a double fluke. Overall, we could not have asked for better trips!
