We had a fun morning trip! We had sightings of multiple pods of Short and long-beaked Common dolphins! They surfed in our wake but were mostly milling around. We pushed out further to the west and encountered 3 Fin whales. They mostly stayed up at the surface and never really went on a dive. We got great looks! During our afternoon trip, we encountered small pods of Common dolphins all throughout our trip They seemed to be scattered near shore and out in deeper water. We got to the drop off and sighted a cow/calf pair of Fin whales headed to the NW. We got awesome looks as they swam side-by-side. We found one last pod of ~100 Long-beaked Common dolphins in a feeding frenzy with Velella velella’s all around!

Hope to sea you on the next one!
