We spent another beautiful day on the open ocean water seeing various types of marine life! During our morning trip, we came across a pod of ~25 short beaked common dolphins. We also saw one elusive but majestic blue whale! It showed its fluke when diving down. The blue whale is the largest marine mammal on Earth so we always feel lucky whenever we have the chance to spot one in the wild! We also encountered 6 bottlenose dolphins on our way back to Quivera basin. The weather cleared up for our afternoon trip. We saw plenty of seabirds and a large pod of ~60 offshore bottlenose dolphins.
