Join our Dolphin Watching Adventure at Point Loma!
Santa Ana Winds brought us some wonderful visibility today! We headed south to avoid the navy fleet that was offshore to the north. We made it down past Point Loma and pretty close to the Coronado Islands where we found a nice pod of short beaked common dolphins. The dolphins cruised with us for a while – jumping out of the water- porposing and splashing around gleefully. The navy hailed us on the radio after a short while – they’d changed course and we were in the way! We had to turn in towards the coastline – getting great views of the forgoes bluffs of Point Loma and even some visible sea caves. The kelp forest was looking healthy and vibrant!
