Even the whales came to party in San Diego for the Holiday weekend!
AND PARTY HARD! A misty and nautical morning quickly turned into the trip of a life time! We have a Juvenile humpback whale that would breach after EVERY dive! I’m not sure how many breaches we saw but it was surely over twenty! There was a sea lion following this little whales every move. We weren’t sure if they were buddies and playing around or if this sea lion was pestering the spunky little whale and the whale was trying to scare it off with breaches! Either way the trip was positively thrilling! One of the breaches was so close that I couldn’t even fit it into frame.
Trip number two we decided to brave the nautical sea and run out to the whale zone – We found multiple LUNGE FEEDING BLUE WHALES! Basically a myth in whale watching and it was happening over and over in front of our eyes! Truly a day to remember!
JUST when we think the ocean couldn’t get any better – she throws one of the most incredible days We’ve ever experienced at us.

Our sunset trip was filled with rhythm and BLUES! We were definitely rocking and rolling on the water today. However, we were blessed with some beautiful and brilliant BLUE whales! We had great looks at about 4-5 blue whales and definitely saw more on the horizon. It is so endearing to know our ocean is thriving with wildlife! Can’t wait for a fin filled weekend!
