We had two awesome trips with such amazing people on the boat! Everyone had a great time enjoying the sights, both wildlife and views! We set out to the SW on both trips. During the morning trip, we caught up with a fun pod of ~50 Short-beaked Common dolphins racing to the north. The caught up with us to ride the bow and surf our wake! We spotted a small pod of ~20 Offshore Bottlenose dolphin also traveling north. We were gonna go hang out with them when a massive towering spout appeared on the horizon! We found 3 Blue whales circling the area! We were able to get awesome looks at one that also lifted its tail flukes! We were about 12-miles from shore, a long way from home, so waved goodbye at our new whale friends! On the afternoon trip we set out to the same zone in hope of the same outcome. We got to the same spot and searched everywhere! It was a bit quiet out there, when all of sudden Captain John spotted a big puffy spout on the horizon! It was close to 2-miles out! We tried to catch up with it, and observed another spout beyond it. We couldn’t wait because we were a whopping 16-miles from Mission Bay, the farthest we’ve gone on a 3-hour trip! We turned around and spotted a single Blue whale that spouted a few times and then lifted its big beautiful flukes! Everyone cheered with excitement!

The Blues seem to be moving west, but who knows they could turn around. You better believe we will try to find them again! We have one more trip to go!

Looks like wildlife continued to push out further west! We travelled incredibly far on our sunset trip this evening to find the largest mammal to have ever lived on Earth; the MIGHTY BLUE WHALE!! At our furthest point, we were about ~14.5 miles away from Mission Bay! We sighted a spout from a blue whale located near the western edge of the 9-mile bank. We were in very deep water, water depth was over ~3700 ft! The blue whale was going down for 7 minute dives. We hung out with the blue whale for three breath cycles and got really great close up looks on both sides of the boat! Always such a magical time out here on the deep blue! Please join us on our next ocean adventure!
