THREE Humpbacks for the WIN!

We cruised out to the west, and spotted at least 600 Long-beaked Common dolphins traveling fast to the south! They zoomed up to us and bow-rode the boat and surfed our wake! We observed some high flyers! Some breached and porpoised all around us. We got lucky and spotted a few cow/calf pairs here and there. Up to the north, there was a couple spouts sighted near our other whale watch friends. The humpbacks did not travel next to each other but were sighted synchronizing their breaths! We enjoyed watching them lift their beautiful flukes up on their sounding dive! The seas are calm and beautiful!

We have a sunset trip next so we will update you soon!

Our sunset trip was a tad bit quieter for the first half. However, we still managed to find some amazing wildlife. We sighted an amazing pod of Risso’s dolphins! They were located about ~7 miles offshore in about ~900 feet of water. Seems like they were going down for deeper dives to feed on squid! They were a very tight knit pod of about ~15 Risso’s, they crossed our bow several times. We have more trips going out tomorrow so please stay tuned!
