We attended a couple of dolphin parties out at sea!

We had incredible sea conditions and amazing visiblity on our Sunset trip! We set out to the west and spotted some fast-moving Long-beaked Common dolphins! They raced to the north just a few miles from shore! Birds surrounded them likely trying to feed! Our boat was surrounded by the ~400 individuals! We got great looks as they surfed our wake and rode the bow! We loved to see them leap out of the water as they beelined it toward us! It was awesome to see them swim next to our boat, turning to the side to take a look up at us! There weren’t too many calves in the pod, but it was fun to try to spot them! We continued our journey to the west, past the drop-off and spotted more birds! Underneath was another energetic pod of ~100 Short-beaked Common dolphins. The sunset was the perfect way to end our trip! The sky glowed a brilliant gold! We can’t wait to see what’s in store for us tomorrow!
