Absolutely golden! Yeah, that’s accurate for how today went. This afternoon we found a super playful pod of short beaked common dolphins. We don’t see shorties all that often in the colder months so these playful little nuggets were quite the delight – popping out of the water and jumping every which way! On our sunset cruise – were headed towards a feeding frenzy when Cpt. John spotted a spout! NO! THREE! So we rapidly changed direction and got to hang out with three grey whales for a LONG time. With the sun setting, the golden rays caught the waterfalls cascading off of these whales flukes as the dove into the depths. Every time the whales came to the surface their spouts errupted in toasty golden glittery puffs.
Can’t wait to share more dreamy days out here with you!
