The upwelling continues! Our waters are pretty green in some areas but beautifully blue in others. We’ve had tons of bait in the water drawing in HUNDREDS of dolphins.
Every day is different but today we had dolphins on each trip. Most of these dolphins were avidly hunting and surging through the swells with shocking ferocity. They were setting up massive Mohawks of water as they pushed foreward. We Saw an adorable nursery pod of short beaked common dolphins, nearly all of them were cow/calf pairs. Shortie babies are about 16 inches long when born and look like tiny lil grey footballs. it’s precious to watch them squirm in around double time trying to keep up with the adults. They do this best by swimming in mom’s slip stream – reducing their own drag.
What will we see tomorrow? It’s anyone’s guess!
You wont know until you get out here!
