Interested in joining our team? At San Diego Whale Watch, we’re passionate about creating memorable experiences for our guests and sharing our appreciation for San Diego’s marine wildlife and the ocean.
We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, with our primary hiring periods typically in the spring and fall. If you’re interested in working with us, we encourage you to apply below. We’ll review your application and reach out if we’re able to offer an interview for a current or upcoming opening.
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have a positive attitude.
- Adhere to our grooming standards and comply with dress code.
- Pass a drug screening.
- People-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Must be able to apply excellent and consistent customer service.
- Must be a team player, dependable, friendly, enthusiastic, approachable, clean and organized.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule that may include long hours.

Open Positions
Boat Crew
Love the ocean and working with people? Join our Boat Crew as a Deckhand, Galley/Bartender, or Marine Naturalist. All crew members are deckhand trained. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and we’ll follow up when we’re hiring.
Ticket Booth
Be the friendly face that starts each guest’s adventure—join our team as a Ticket Booth Rep and help make magic happen on the waterfront!
