Off shore nearly 10 miles directly west of Mission Bay you could see nearly 20 ft below the surface making it excellent to view the tight knit pod of ~200 long-beaked common dolphins swimming gracefully below the swell. These dolphins had a destination in mind as they were exhibiting travel mode behaviour, but were generous enough to spend some time surfing along side the Inspiration. After making our way to the Northeast to check out the La Jolla canyon and enjoy some cliffside views on our journey home another pod of ~200 long-beaked common dolphins came to play! Truly an awesome start to our week! We have trips everyday and we’d love to have you along for a ride.
