A day to take your breath away! Locals summer has settled in, the weather is gorgeous and the wild life is picking up. We had warm weather through the entire day, those cozy summer nights that are so heavy, you can feel the atmosphere embracing you. We headed off shore looking for wild life of any sort- we found a playful pod of bottlenose displaying some odd behavior, like 3-4 dolphins at a time appeared to be wrestling and vocalizing at the surface. We set out farther west and found another pod massive pod of long- beaked common dolphins just on a mission to get wherever they were going. They were RACING- pourposing out of the water at high speeds! All this while the sky put on a dazzling light show of sun rays, clouds, a green flash and the coolest assortment of clouds. ( Did you know the science of clouds is referred to as Nephology? ) The clouds in the sky and their altitude have a ton to do with how our sunsets are perceived. This one was an absolute stunner!
