BREACHER!!!! And not your typical breacher, we are usually talking humpbacks when we’re talking breaches. Today, it was Short finned MAKO SHARK! This lil baby was doing backflips over and over again! Lucky for us, While we slowed to watch the shark – a humpback whale DID appear, hugging the kelp line and traveling south. We hung out with the Humpback as it went on 7 min dives, but lifted its tail on nearly every single dive. The trip wasn’t over so, we went searching for the dolphins and we found nearly 300 Long – beaked common dolphins. These playful torpedos of joy sped up to catch a ride in our wake and spent quite some time escorting us back to shore.
