DELUGE of dolphins!

We’ve been missing our smaller cetaceans these last few weeks, but today they came back with a splash — literally. We got a full‑on smorgasbord of species between our two trips!

On our morning trip, we encountered about 15 Pacific white‑sided dolphins, followed by a lively pod of roughly 75 common dolphins up in the La Jolla Canyon.

Our sunset trip kept the momentum going with a pod of bottlenose dolphins showing off some seriously impressive surface behavior. They were LAUNCHING out of the water in the distance, and once they found our wake? Game over. They were all battling for the prime surfing spot like kids racing to the front of a roller coaster.

No large baleen whales today — but with so many sightings up north as they migrate toward Mexico, it’s only a matter of time before they’re back in our waters. And when they show up, you’ll want to be on the boat.

It’s a great time to get out on the water — come join the adventure!
